Well integrity is a system design problem.

Oreste designs the processes, platforms, and data foundations that make well integrity programs deliver — cutting the time from anomaly to action, and building the performance record that unlocks real optimization decisions.

The practitioner perspective.

Well-defined processes and integrated digital tooling reduce ambiguity and resource waste, redirecting engineering effort toward higher-value work. That same system captures the performance data needed to sustain analysis, real-time reporting, and — increasingly — AI and machine learning applications.

A well-governed integrity program delivers measurable returns through two mechanisms: faster anomaly-to-action cycles that cut deferred production, and richer performance data that unlocks optimization decisions fragmented records cannot support.

What we do.

01

Well Integrity Management System (WIMS) Design, Deployment & Optimization

Enterprise WIMS platform implementation, rollout, well-data migration, module configuration, and platform transition management. Includes development of Well Barrier Performance Standards, Integrity Operating Window (IOW) frameworks, and the data structures that sustain real-time reporting and analytics.

02

Process & Standards Authorship

Procedure development, Well Barrier Performance Standards, handover guidance, assurance process design, and training programs. Work product aligned with API RP 90, ISO 16530, and applicable regulatory requirements — written from the perspective of an engineer who has built and lived within these systems at scale.

03

Digital Platform Advisory

For software providers

Practitioner input to sharpen product roadmaps, validate workflows against field reality, define requirements, and accelerate user adoption. The operator perspective software teams rarely access directly — from someone who has deployed and lived with these platforms across multi-year, multi-asset programs.

04

Well Barrier Management & Assurance

Well Barrier Envelope Schematic development, barrier anomaly management, engineering review of integrity events and Management of Change (MOC) packages, and sustained casing pressure evaluation. Systematic barrier verification aligned with API RP 90 and applicable regulatory requirements, with prioritized management recommendations.

05

Portfolio Analytics & Reporting

Integrity KPI design and implementation, performance dashboard development, and data architecture for real-time reporting. Builds the performance foundation that supports strategic optimization decisions — and the data architecture that advanced analytics requires.

Jason E. Dahlem — Principal Consultant

Jason Dahlem is a well integrity engineer with over 25 years of experience across offshore, deepwater, onshore, and unconventional operations. His career has been defined by the intersection of technical integrity management and the digital systems that make programs scalable — most recently as Technical Authority for a 275,000 BOE/day portfolio at Hess, where he led an enterprise WIMS platform transition across GOM deepwater and international assets.

Earlier work includes bp's Project 20K, a 20,000 psi subsea intervention system developed for ultra-high-pressure deepwater operations, along with field and engineering assignments spanning deepwater GOM, Malaysia, and onshore Bakken.

Oreste Well Reliability was founded to put that operator experience directly to work — for operators building or maturing integrity programs, and for the software providers whose platforms those programs depend on.

The name came from a meme. Donkeys at a fence: the first two jump over the rail one at a time; the third, named Oreste, simply knocks it down so everyone can walk through after him. It spoke to me because — one, I'm stubborn. And two, it captures something true about the kind of work I'm passionate about — removing obstacles entirely, so others can simply walk through. Simpler process. Better data architecture. A platform that actually works. That's what Oreste is here to do.
